1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TrimLink ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TrimLink is a privacy-first URL shortening service that allows you to:

  • Create shortened URLs from long URLs
  • Track link analytics without visitor tracking
  • Use custom domains for branded short links
  • Generate QR codes for your links
  • Access free marketing tools (UTM Builder, URL Expander)

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use TrimLink to:

  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Link to phishing, scam, or fraudulent websites
  • Share illegal, abusive, or harmful content
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Spam or harass others
  • Bypass rate limits or abuse the Service
  • Engage in any illegal activity

4.2 Link Safety

All shortened URLs are scanned against Google Safe Browsing. We reserve the right to disable any link that violates these Terms or poses a security risk.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

5.1 Plans

TrimLink offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Current plan names, features, usage limits, and pricing are shown on our pricing page and may change from time to time.

5.2 Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice
  • Failure to pay may result in account suspension

5.3 Subscription Changes

Upgrades may take effect immediately. Some downgrades may also be applied immediately with proration, while annual-to-monthly changes and certain other billing-period changes may be scheduled for your next renewal so that you keep the remaining time you already paid for. The confirmation flow and billing portal will control the exact timing and any charge or credit.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

6. Rate Limits

To ensure fair usage and protect the service, we enforce usage and abuse-prevention limits that may vary by plan, account status, IP address, or similar operational signals. Current plan limits are described on our pricing page and may change over time.

Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary suspension or account termination.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

TrimLink and all related trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use our branding without permission.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of your links and data. By using TrimLink, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of TrimLink is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not track individual link visitors.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Abusive behavior toward our team or users

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 Service Availability

TrimLink is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

10.2 Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for the content of destination URLs created by users. Clicking shortened links is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • TrimLink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
  • We are not liable for data loss (maintain your own backups)

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TrimLink harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of third-party rights

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
