For SaaS teams
Campaign analytics without collecting personal data
You need to know which channel worked, without becoming the reason your company collects more personal data.
Most link tools pay for themselves with your audience’s data. You get a dashboard; your visitors get a profile built on them, and your privacy policy gets longer.
What you actually do with it
Attribution without identity
Clicks break down by UTM source, medium, and campaign, by referrer, by country, and by device. All of it comes from the request itself — nothing is stored that identifies the person who clicked.
Tags that stay clean
Every UTM value is lowercased on the way in, so LinkedIn, linkedin, and LI cannot split one campaign across three rows. Anything that looks like an email or phone number is dropped rather than stored.
A builder, so nobody free-types tags
Paste a destination and the UTM builder detects the platform and fills in source and medium. It covers 150+ platforms and needs no login.
No banner, because there is nothing to consent to
No tracking cookie is set and no fingerprint is taken, so a shortened link does not drag a consent prompt into a campaign.
This page is for you if
- Marketing-led growth, with content and paid channels running side by side
- You care what your privacy policy has to say
- Someone will eventually ask which campaign drove the signups
Common questions
How can you track clicks without cookies?
The click happens on our redirect, before the visitor reaches your site. Counting it, resolving a country from the request, and reading the referrer header all happen server side. None of that requires storing anything in the visitor’s browser, which is why no consent prompt is involved.
Is this GDPR-friendly?
It is designed to be. No tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, and the IP address is discarded immediately after the country lookup rather than stored. That said, we are describing our architecture, not giving you legal advice — your DPO should still review how you use it.
Do I lose data compared to a normal shortener?
You lose the ability to follow one individual around, which is not a marketing number. You keep totals over time, campaign and source attribution, geography, device, and referrer — which is what channel decisions are actually made from.
Does it work with Google Analytics?
Yes. UTM parameters on the destination travel through the redirect intact, so GA attributes the session normally. TrimLink measures the click itself, which GA cannot see — the two answer different questions.
